Back from laziness..

Image
H ey guys! Well, its been a long lazy journey since I did my last workout and wrote my last blog. Hoping to use my rusty brains in the right frame of mind, which would make some sense outta my lazy journey. Jotting down things that I want to express..! Let's see..! Shall start with the toughest thing after I had the longest break ever.. I guess it was the mental preparation to convince myself that I've to get back to my schedule of Crossfit and mind it no break! I was fairly able to do that just before the registration for CrossFit open began, now I knew that I was terribly outta shape for participation, nevertheless, I did register but  had no clue of how fast I would be able to get fit for it. I began training just 2 weeks before the open with the most basic WOD: 5 rounds of: 20 burpees with break of 1 min This seems to be quite easy but gets the hell outta you. You add 5 reps to each set as days go by, this is the best full body movement ...

Hi Guys! B een away for a while… Actually more than a while… M ost of u’ll must have thought that Canute ain’t gonna write anymore... Well, here I’m coming up with something new… T his blog was originally gonna be me sharing how my 2017 went & blah blah blah… A nd then suddenly I came across a really interesting question lately… Which made me ask myself why? What is Crossfit, Yoga & Bodybuilding? W ell, hope you all have read my “First Step to CrossFit” . If yes, you all are clear about CrossFit. If No, here’s the direct link to the page “ https://sapcrossfit.blogspot.in/2017/05/first-step-to-crossfit.html ” Let’s start with the most relaxing nature… Y oga: This the definition as per Google “A Hindu spiritual and ascetic discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practised for health and relaxation.” To put it a box, perfect way to relax your mind & body. Squats - Foundational Movement

Image
Squat W hen we come to think of Squats, all we hear is “This is wrong!” I keep wondering how everyone can have a different form to perform a squat… Are there really different forms or everyone just perform their own & believe this is the right form! Let’s try & understand this myth of “This is wrong!” I’ve come to the below conclusion after trying to understand what & how shall a Squat be done? F irstly, many of us consider squat to be a “leg” exercise, it’s really a full body movement that works just every muscle group in the body. S econdly, it mimics a ton of natural movement patterns in everyday life.  In my opinion, squats are the most useful exercise we can do when it comes to strength training. Gain strength or lose weight, squats are one of the fastest ways to get there. My advice to beginners, Never fear! Let’s get to know Squats in a better manner. Why squat? S quats are one of the most foundational functional movements in our lives. We all have bee...

First Step to Crossfit

Image
First Step to Crossfit Crossfit is EVERYWHERE these days You can watch the Crossfit Games on ESPN. Watch commercials, motivational & tutorials on You Tube. It has a huge presence online. As a matter of fact people working out in gyms have yet to get familiar with Crossfit. Believe me, to do Crossfit one needs to be crazy about fitness, physically as well as mentally You might be wondering, "Hey Canute! What the hell is Crossfit, and is it for me?" It goes back in 2012 when Reebok had introduced Crossfit in India. Since 2012, we have had many Indian Crossfit Athletes who have done remarkable job. But has it penetrated the Indian hearts? I'm just making an attempt to voice out that Crossfit is something everybody should do, can do or shall at least make an attempt to do it. What the Hell is Crossfit? Crossfit is advertised, in four words, as "The Sport of Fitness" The Crossfit prescription is performing “functional movements that are consta...

Teenage - Part 2

Image
Hi guys.. Finally I've thought on how to begin my part 2.. It's actually tough.. There are so many moments that we all experience. Half teenage goes in spending time with Your crush, your biggest rival & countless first step towards your teenage.. Now here starts our 2nd innings of teenage "College days" . The moment when we actually wonder what's it like going to college. We all wait for the first day to go to college in casuals & nt in uniform. Some do have uniforms.. T hank God mine was in casuals & not in uniform. But my college journey was on a more silent track than my school days.. A tiny twist before i could begin college. After my schooling, a relocation to Bangalore since dad had a job change. All were excited since we were moving in to a new place. Colleges in Bangalore were gonna begin like 2 months before our results were out. So now the problem was we would miss out on the initial months of our college. So me n my sis fle...

Childhood

Hi! How are you'll? Well childhood.. Something that we all dream of.. We all miss those days.. My childhood was sort of mysterious. I do carry this mysterious image now as well. Have always been having this contradictory nature. Am a very shy person and on the other hand I love to meet up with people, make new friends & hangout. My parents say I was born with Ganpati ears, well not literally. It was just that my left ear was bigger than the right one. Supposed to be lucky. There is this funny incident regarding my name as well. Read ahead to check it out. Well I was schooling at Xavier's High School, Bhandup, Mumbai, India. Wasn't really into studies though. Was an average student throughout my school days. Was here till my 3rd Grade, later on moved to Fatima High School & completed my schooling. While I was at Xavier's, I spent most of my time running about. Well you must be feeling I was an Athlete. In fact I was running after I got into a fi...

Who am I? Part 2

Hi! I'm back..! Well last I left with a list of things I Love.. I thought over it again. And guess what I was actually able to evaluate on each of my Lovable hobbies. Added couple of em as well.. 1. Beards 2. Clothing 3. Fitness 4. Teaching 5. Technology 6. Dogs 7. Music 8. Dancing What I've evaluated is simple. 1. Beards: I love it. Have a really really macho beard. Pitch black & rowdy style. I often play around with my facial hair. Moreover, it doesnt harm anyone. But again I don't think i can actually start up a salon. Its not impractical but not something that I can take as a profession. 2. Clothing: I love to keep and see myself all suited. Couple of my friends have even complemented me as the "Perfect Paav Vala" (Catholic). Almost everything & anything  suits me. Think of it as profession, again no specific qualificaton in hand. 3. Fitness: This is one of my Ace. Not a regular workout guy, but yes I do workout. Fortunately, ...
